What is Ajax Security?

Ajax is a security platform that combines intrusion protection, fire and flood devices, automation, and video into one ecosystem managed from Ajax apps. Ajax describes its system as combining CCTV, alarm, and automation in a single platform.

For modern projects, Ajax can be deployed as a wireless system, a wired Fibra system, or a hybrid architecture depending on the building and installation requirements. The Superior Hub Hybrid line is designed for wired and wireless Ajax devices, and the current support pages show Superior Hub Hybrid / Superior Hub Hybrid 2 as hybrid control panels for medium to large installations.

Why Ajax Fits Modern Security Projects

Wireless + Wired Flexibility

Ajax supports both Jeweller wireless devices and Fibra wired devices, allowing system design to match the property layout and security requirements.

Mobile Control

Ajax apps provide real-time control, event visibility, and access to integrated video streams and system devices.

Photo / Video Verification

Ajax uses Wings for image transmission from compatible detectors and also supports video integration through Ajax video devices and third-party cameras.

Third-Party Integration

Ajax supports integration of third-party wired devices through modules such as Superior MultiTransmitter Fibra and Superior MultiTransmitter IO (4X4) Fibra, and third-party IP cameras can also be connected to Ajax NVR and apps.

Core Ajax Technologies

Ajax uses several communication and system technologies that define how wireless, wired, image, and hybrid installations work.

Jeweller

Jeweller is Ajax’s secure two-way radio protocol for system communication. Ajax states it is an encrypted wireless technology, and its radio documentation explains that Jeweller operates in the 868 or 915 MHz bands depending on region.

Wings

Wings is the Ajax radio technology used for transmitting images from compatible devices such as detectors with built-in photo verification. Ajax support states Wings (and TurboWings where applicable) is used in parallel with Jeweller for image transfer.

Fibra

Fibra is Ajax’s wired communication technology. Ajax support describes Fibra-based devices such as Superior KeyPad TouchScreen Fibra and Superior MotionProtect Plus Fibra as wired devices that exchange data with the hub using the secure Fibra protocol. Ajax also documents Fibra system tests, including Fibra signal strength and line power tests.

Ajax Video Surveillance

Ajax now has a dedicated video surveillance line and NVR products. Ajax’s official catalogue presents video surveillance as its own solution area, and the Ajax NVR is described as the heart of the video system. Ajax also offers NVR H with HDMI for full monitoring-station style deployment.

The Ajax NVR user manual states that you can connect Ajax video devices and third-party IP cameras to the recorder. Ajax also documents how users can connect third-party cameras through SDK-based integrations in the Ajax ecosystem.
This is important for Magic Grid because it lets Ajax act as the main platform while video can be built using Ajax cameras, Ajax NVR, or selected third-party surveillance equipment where appropriate.

Third-Party Integration Possibilities

Ajax is not limited to only Ajax-branded field devices. For wired integration, Ajax offers modules such as Superior MultiTransmitter Fibra and Superior MultiTransmitter IO (4X4) Fibra. Ajax support states that the IO (4X4) module is designed to integrate up to 8 third-party wired devices, while the standard Superior MultiTransmitter Fibra is designed to connect third-party wired devices through multiple zones.

On the video side, Ajax documents support for Ajax cameras, Ajax NVR, and third-party cameras through integrations. That makes Ajax suitable as a central security layer even when a project also uses external surveillance hardware.

Third-Party Wired Devices

Use MultiTransmitter modules to bring selected third-party wired equipment into the Ajax system.

Third-Party IP Cameras

Ajax NVR and camera integrations make it possible to include compatible third-party video devices in the system.

Hybrid Architectures

Use wireless Jeweller devices, wired Fibra devices, Ajax video, and selected external hardware in one architecture where needed.

Recommended Ajax System Architecture

For Magic Grid projects, Ajax acts as the main security platform. Around it, we build the system layers needed for the property:

This architecture works for homes, offices, retail, warehouses, and mixed-use properties because Ajax can be expanded with wireless, wired, and integrated video components.

Ajax Product Ecosystem for Professional Installations

For modern installations, Magic Grid can design systems using current Ajax control panels, keypads, detectors, integration modules, sirens, NVRs, and video devices.

On the video side, Ajax documents support for Ajax cameras, Ajax NVR, and third-party cameras through integrations. That makes Ajax suitable as a central security layer even when a project also uses external surveillance hardware.

Control & operation

Superior Hub Hybrid / Superior Hub Hybrid 2, Superior KeyPad TouchScreen Fibra, panic and control devices such as Button Jeweller. Ajax support currently lists Superior Hub Hybrid 2 as a hybrid control panel for medium to large setups with up to 250 Fibra and Jeweller devices, and Superior KeyPad TouchScreen Fibra as a wired touchscreen keypad with smartphone, Tag, Pass, and code authentication.

Detection & integration

Superior MotionProtect Plus Fibra for wired motion detection with an additional K-band microwave sensor, plus Superior MultiTransmitter Fibra / IO (4X4) Fibra for third-party wired device integration. Ajax support describes MotionProtect Plus Fibra as a wired detector with an additional K-band microwave sensor, and the IO (4X4) module as a 4-input/4-output integration module.

Sirens & video

Superior StreetSiren Fibra, Ajax NVR / NVR H, Ajax cameras including turret and bullet style video devices from the current video surveillance line. Ajax product and support pages show the NVR range and the video surveillance catalogue as active solution areas.

Why Choose Magic Grid for Ajax Systems

Magic Grid Ltd approaches Ajax as an integrated security platform, not just a stand-alone alarm system.

We design systems that combine the right mix of Ajax wireless devices, Ajax Fibra devices, Ajax video, and compatible third-party technologies where required.
